FIRST GENERATION DESIGN
Design a Pepper&Salt Mill set base on the principles of good design by Dieter Rams. This kind of design is called "first generation design".
The Salt&Pepper mills are my take on the classical pepper mill, inspired by African design objects.
I used the squared, hourglass-shaped lamp as the basis for my design.
AN EXTRA TWIST
I wanted to make the mills a little bit more spicey so I put a twist to them: each segment can turn and grind on it's own, which makes them fun to use.
While in use the rotating of the segments will change the shape of the mills, making them interesting to look at as well.
